DLIMS 2.0 System Brings Digital Upgrades for Applicants

Under the 2025 reforms, the Driving License Issuance Management System has been upgraded to DLIMS 2.0, offering online registration, real-time tracking and instant learner license issuance. The platform allows citizens to check application progress via CNIC, book test slots and complete payments digitally. Officials say these changes will help address common issues such as long queues and manual paperwork delays.

The digital system is currently being synchronized with national databases to allow secure identity verification and reduce the chances of duplicate or fake licenses. Government sources confirmed that the new digital testing process, including computerized sign tests, is now operational in major cities and will soon expand across Punjab.
