China Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students: China has announced 75 fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students for the academic year 2026–27 This program is part of China initiative to strengthen educational cooperation with Pakistan scholarships are managed by the Chinese Scholarship Council in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan which handles nominations and shortlisting of eligible candidates.

The program provides opportunities for students to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and PhD degrees in a wide range of academic fields A Chinese language preparatory course of one to two years is also included where necessary Both Chinese- and English-taught programs are available for master’s and PhD students, giving applicants flexibility based on their language skills and academic preferences.

Academic Programs and Duration

The scholarships cover undergraduate programs for four to five years, master’s programs for two to three years, and doctoral programs for three to four years a preparatory year for the Chinese language is mandatory for students who do not meet the HSK Level 3 certificate requirement. The preparatory year ensures that students can adjust to studying in China and succeed in their chosen programs.

Undergraduate students who already hold a valid HSK Level 3 certificate may skip the preparatory course. Master’s and PhD students have the option of enrolling in programs taught in either Chinese or English. The structure allows students to focus on their main courses while receiving necessary language training before fully beginning their degree.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet certain requirements to be considered for the scholarship the main criteria include nationality, academic qualifications, age limits, and test scores. Students must be Pakistani or AJK nationals and should not hold any other scholarship at the same time. They must be in good health and have completed their previous degrees before the application deadline.

  • Undergraduate applicants must have completed intermediate, A-level, or equivalent
  • Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree
  • PhD applicants must have a master’s or MPhil degree
  • Age limits: under 25 for undergraduate, under 35 for master’s, under 40 for PhD
  • Valid USAT or HAT scores are required
  • Students in medical, engineering, veterinary, law, or architecture fields must confirm recognition from the relevant professional councils

How to Apply

Applying for the Chinese scholarship requires completing two separate online applications one must be submitted on the HEC Portal and the other on the CSC Portal missing any application will result in disqualification Both portals require accurate personal and academic details, as well as supporting documents.

  • Complete profile on HEC Portal under learning opportunities abroad
  • Submit online application and keep signed copy
  • Apply on CSC Portal, select program type A and agency number 5861
  • Download and sign CSC application form
  • Undergraduate applicants must take CSCA test on December 21, 2025
  • Submit all documents before January 5, 2026, 4:00 PM PST

Required documents include educational records, CNIC, domicile, birth certificate, study plan or research proposal, language test results, passport, physical examination, police clearance, recommendation letters for master’s/PhD, and NOC from employer if applicable. Guardian documents are needed for applicants under 18 years.

Financial Coverage and Benefits

The scholarship provides full tuition fees, which cover education, administration, and health insurance. Accommodation is provided in university dormitories or through a housing allowance Students also receive a monthly stipend based on the degree level to cover living expenses.

Travel expenses to and from China are the responsibility of the student the scholarship is designed to support students financially throughout their study period, allowing them to focus on their education and research without worrying about academic costs.
